General

Broadbent Stanley and the Machine Tool Technologies Group have
enjoyed a close association for many years, so a joint strategy was
developed to purchase the full intellectual, design and manufacturing
rights to the Yorky Grinding machine range. The machines are now
being manufactured in newly acquired premises in close proximity to
both companies and promoted through Broadbent Stanley’s worldwide
distributor network.
"your guarantee of quality and support"

located on the outskirts of Halifax in West Yorkshire; England with a heritage dating back over 100 years
Broadbent Stanley are one of the leading producers of large capacity, manual and CNC metal turning lathes.
The company boasts have a huge customer base with installations in power generation, rail, construction,
aerospace and oil and gas. In fact, wherever there is a need for large capacity turning application Broadbent
Stanley can generally offer a solution.

The Broadbent Stanley of today is a modern and innovative,
due to the foresight of Managing Director, Graham Thomas
who purchased the company some years ago. Much resource
has been made available for the development of new
products, primarily CNC including a range of hollow spindle
lathes for the oil, gas and petrochemical industries. The vast
percentage of CNC business is application driven which
means the company looks at their customers’ manufacturing
problems and generates a solution. Total support is the
Broadbent Stanley philosophy with many installations part of a
turnkey operation.
But Broadbent Stanley is more than lathes, with the acquisition
of another famous Yorkshire brand - Parkson, who
manufacture a range of competitively priced vertical machining
centres and large capacity, heavy duty single and twin column
milling centres with X axis strokes of up to 10,000mm (393”)!
There is also a rebuild division, where existing machines
can be rebuilt to “as new” condition by experienced
technicians. Typical recent rebuilds include large capacity
manual and CNC lathes, heavy duty twin column milling
machines along with vertical turning lathes and horizontal
borers.
With much of Broadbent Stanley’s business generated by
producers of large rolls and to repair shops in the oil, gas and
petrochemical industries, the already well established range of
Yorky grinders neatly slot into the Broadbent Stanley portfolio,
complimenting the existing range of products!
